Hrmm..

Ok i do see this peice alittle diffrent from what i had expected. i do like the plucking of the strings and i see ruins in my imagination. but when the world flute i belive came in it turned into more of a hope builing song. As the villagers try to rebuild their socity. Then again still a great song. "Disturbece will come across others!" Announces the Evil Knight to his men and they march forward to capture, loot near by towns, cities, and soon a castle which the king must give to the knight or be slain... Does get a little repeatitive if you hear it 7 times in a row though. thats how many times ive heard it whie typing this review :). Keep up the work!

MaestroRage responds:

hey Key-Reaper!

There were two renditions of this piece, one without the flute, and one with, which is this one. For a long time I debated whether I should keep the flute or not. Without the flute it is more ambient, and doesn't grab your attention as much, and though it doesn't stand our as repetitive, it does dull out quickly. So I took the chance and uploaded the flute version.

The imagery you saw was not exactly what I had in mind, but I was quite surprised to hear you say you saw hope. I did not particularly plan "hope" in there, though by no means does this mean you're wrong, it is an interesting take on the song.

I thank you for the review, i'm glad you liked it!

Great

very nice song :D i couldnt even tell that the song repeated

To start off can see this as much as you other pieces. Great strong Choir but not over used. the trumpet i think was a interesting choice to add as i thoght this would be a dark shallow song. i think it would have worked better with a frech horn or trombone but i havent heard it with this song so im not sure :) althogh a great song that very well represents a dark night.

MaestroRage responds:

The song originally had plans to be carried out with a trombone/french horns, but I felt that the trumpets would have made a much more powerful medium, and was also done for a friend of mine ;). He knows who he is.

The phrase "Gently into that good night" was not meant with the intention of literally speaking of a night, but in the definition of silently dying. I forget the poet who first wrote the poem "Do not go gently into that good night!" and i'm sure a google search would clear it up, but the point was this song is supposed to depict heroes dying.

Thank you for the review, i'm glad you liked it!

Very Epic

In the beggining its was very interesting. It had a great intro as if the song was telling a story. The wolves talking among them selfs about what to do. Then when the strings came in i would say the song has just started. I'm not sure if it was a bell or woodwind instrument but i think it was a flute, that had really gave the song its touch.

This song would go great with some adventure piece. An epic one. I can see a whole tribe of wolfs stalking villagers or a team of people venturing out into the woods only to find it is getting dark and wolfs have started howling. Communicating. One more thing there is much rage going on a questions being asked "have we done the right thing, and have they?"

Now about the music, as you have read eailer blah blah blah, after that the choirs have a great part to start of the main theme. After that I hear much rage in the music. Splendid idea to put in music that which represents a tribute. It's like one way and the only way to get out the madness and to accept what is going on. The drum is also a good addition to the piece giving it that madness and rage feeling.

For some darn reason this reminds me of a video game. I don't exactly what one but an adventure one for sure...hmmm i think it was a movie though :D. Great work. Keep it up. I thought the sudden ending was ok. I would have preferred a gradual ending. But thats just me :)

MaestroRage responds:

Hey Key-Reaper! My apolgies for the super late response! I often forget to check on songs after a while, and this was sadly... one of them.

Lets see. I begin to think that a gradual ending would have sufficed as well, but sadly that doesn't seem to be working out for the song yet. Maybe one day i'll finish it, enhance it, extend it, or whatever. Maybe feed it to a goat see what happens >:}.

And yes that flute does sound strange, it has a dull brass instrument playing the same notes, so it sounds a little strange.

I like the image you saw for the piece. It was not the intention, but it suits the piece well!

I am glad you felt this should suit a video game! That was it's very purpose, as a tribute to the RPG Wolfpack *that was the sites name* which was of course, a site oriented around game production.

In any case, thank you for the review, i'm glad you liked it ^^!

Great!

The whole song was awesome. Great.

The beginning was a good intro. Not the best, least not until the pitch "i think" changed. Then your really in the dream!

The song does give what the title intended a fantasy world. THE PIANO WAS THE BEST!!! Completely a touch the song needed.

Then the ending was also a strong ending. Story wise to me "Your in bed and suddenly wake up to realize that your fantasy world is just a dream that you shall never forget!"

Great job, Keep the songs comming. This has my 5.

Yet another great submission...

Hey its me! I haven't reviewed in a while since maestosorrow, but anyways. The music you make is still great!

Now as for the review. When the flute came in from the begging it was a story saying this tribe shall never be broken up. The drums in the background were a great addition, tells me, well shows me that the tribe is coming over a hill to show the world this is the best tribe. Now if I am correct I might have also heard the good old loops you used a year ago. I might be wrong but i think i heard them. The plucking stings and bowing strings were a awesome thing to add as it gave some strength to the music. I think it was the French horns maybe trumpets gave wrath and fear to the music. The choirs made a great ending, just like a ceremony, celebration, or just ending to start another begging. "Next years anniversary!!!"

Hope there is more music coming!

MaestroRage responds:

hello Key_reaper! I apologize, I did not recognize your name right away! But I am glad you find enjoyment in these new pieces as you did the old!

My style has not changed much since then, it has grown more complex, but has not altered drastically, which I feel is why you may be hearing some loops. I myself am not fully aware of what you are referring to, but I do often use something without being aware of it, so you may very well be right!

Your imagery, and your analysis of the song was very much spot on! There is definitely more coming, I hope you will be here to hear it!

Thank you for the review, i'm glad you liked it!

Following in footsteps

Man i just started to listen too your music and i have to say you might follow in Mestrosorrow's foot steps with all the rythimic beat of classical harps to paino for a main bass beat.

Anyways back to your music, i really like this song...oh ya in the beggining theres a chours or is that an organ?

Pure Sadness!

"Someone leaveing your life, but shall always be in the heart of everyone that knows him." This song is the best song 'cause its's damn awsome and it gives a feeling of someone really leaving and shall never be back.I just have one request if you have read this...please just keep on making music. You dont have to submit it or anything, just to help you remeber all your fans.

P.S. Made me have tear drops when i saw the discription of this song.

A Listener of Your Music, KeyReaper.

MaestroSorrow responds:

Thank you Key_Reaper for your words, truly it has touched me greatly. I shall not stop making music, it has become far too big a part of my life for that.

Thank you for your support Key_Reaper, and the review, they mean a lot to me.

hmmm...

I do like this song MaestroSorrow, but i dont feel the battle movement in this song. Mainly i feel that i can see what had happend in a land of war and hatred, but not a battle happening right now as the song is playing.

Key

MaestroSorrow responds:

how strange, now there's an idea... the aftermath, but not the battle itself?

It is a most interesting take on the song. I appreciate the feedback Key_Reaper, it has given me a new idea.

Thanks again for the review.

Beautiful

This song is just beautifull. I dont know what more there is to say...

XayberOptix responds:

You've said all there is to say to keep me composing more music in the future. ;)

This Is Awsome...

I just loved this song. I'm a really good fan of Naruto, and have seen all the parts that have came out. So MANY PEOPLE know how good this song really is.I just LOVED it.

I'm that guy that always gets along with other people. No matter who they are. I think I can learn a little something new from everyone new I meet.
